We were introduced to Darrell and Moira McCollom through a good friend of the family. It was the best thing that ever happened for us.
We are both self employed and also work under contract. Under these circumstances and after visting various institutions we were to the point of wondering if we will ever qualify to buy a house. It did not matter if we were able to afford it, the institutions basically wanted our first born to get a mortgage with them.
After a short meeting with Darrell and Moira, they gathered all our information and went to work. Within 10 days we returned to to sign off on the purchase of our new home. Easy and seemless. WOW, These guys are real PROS at what they do.
We have recently refinanced our mortgage as we did some renovations. Again, all it took was a phone call and a quick conversation and within a week after the paperwork was updated, there it was, the refinancing all done. Man these guys are incredible, and at a better rate than before.

Moira and Darrell McCollom of McCollom Mortgage Corp were the mortgage brokers I turned to last year when I needed to secure a loan for the dream house I had already purchased. We had put up our house for sale for 5 months with no success and had very slim chances of obtaining a mortgage to secure the other house we had put a deposit on.
However, Moira and Darrell worked a miracle and secured the loan for us. Now we have both houses and the rent accrued from our previous home is helping us pay for the mortgages. We first met Darrell In 1997 while he was a Loans officer with the financial Institution that we had received a mortgage from for our first home after Dans Retirement from the Canadian Armed Forces Navel Clearance Diving Branch.
Darrell has since left that Financial Establishment and due to his honest, ethical and informative information he had given us on our mortgage and other financial matters we followed him.
Going to Darrells office for any matter is like going to see that special friend that helps you in any way he can and makes you feel good about asking him.
He was the first person that we had our Daughter go and speak with when she decided to buy her first home. She by the way works for another financial institute but Darrell his her choice for these matters also now.
